Our Story
Women's Health Statewide opened in 1980, shortly after the other 3 metropolitan women's health centres opened. At that time we were called Adelaide Women's Community Health Centre. Originally we were located a little further east on Pennington Terrace and moved to 64 Pennington Terrace in 1983.
In 1995 we joined with the Women's & Children's Hospital and changed our name to Women's Health Statewide. This name better reflected our role in providing health care to women across the state.
On 1st July 2004 we became part of the new Children, Youth & Women's Health Service.
Women's Health Statewide continues to work within a feminst framework as we grow to meet the current health needs of our community.
